Sore feet and stubborn fathers

Yesterday we drove 2 hours to get to the cotswolds where we are staying in a small cottage and it is GORGEOUS. So, naturally, today, we went sightseeing where dad refused to take pictures unless we were smiling in them. Not as cool, nor as fun. But, while we roamed the villages mom decided she wanted to own one of them and got super excited when she saw one she liked was for sale. Dad said no. And smartypants Corinne didn't bring tennis shoes so she had to borrow my silver sparkly toms that were too small for her large stubby feet. So in the end she was complaining like crazy and making everyone else miserable. I would say it wasn't Corinne's best day.

BUT, Corinne became very happy when we went to the Gloucester Cathedral where part of Harry Potter is filmed. We were all surprised to see that no one was in the church during the ceremony. But of course, I had to go to the bathroom and we traveled for thirty minutes looking for one before we found one in a mall. The entire time we saw about twelve people in the entire city. Finally we could leave and go home. But the mall was closing down at only 5 o'clock and we had to exit through the back of the mall leaving us all lost and confused about where we were. Luckily we found a street sign that said to turn left to get back to the cathedral. And of course, dad said "the cathedral isn't that way. they don't know what they're talking about" and turned right. Soon, we were all lost and mom was saying, "i don't know why you didn't just trust the street signs!" and i was saying, "i always knew we should have turned left." But finally we got back to the cathedral. On our way, seeing many swearing teenagers and lots of scary people. Me, mom, and corinne were all very worried about getting mugged. We finally realized why no one was in the church.

When we came around the corner me and mom were all worried about if we were in the right place. But dad, positive he was correct, pointed at a HUGE statue of an honered saint and said, "No, we're in the right place! Look, there's that little man!!"

At the end of all our adventures dad was saying, "it can only get better than this. At least none of us died." and i was saying, "you never know, tomorrow one of us might get hit by a double decker bus."
