so... Mom has this friend on facebook. He went to highschool with her. He's also one of those people that posts stuff like....
"HAD A GREAT DAY TODAY!"
"MADE WAFFLES FOR BREAKFAST! TOTAL SUCCESS!!"
and every time mom sees something like that she decides she is going to unfriend him because she doesn't care what happens in his life and what he made for breakfast. BUT THEN... he puts something like this on his wall:
(both of which, mom was glad to share with us) and then she decides to keep him as a friend after all.

I have failed to mention
in between my texas heart and my whirlwind of emotions, I have forgotten a very important date.
mother's day.
it's earlier here in england. who knows why? it's not like the fourth of july, or thanksgiving, it's an international holiday. so why on earth isn't it the same day for every single country?
who knows?
I have one of those mothers who loves to come into my room and get on to me about cleaning it and then moves everything around- picture frames, books, all of my chochkeys i have sitting out for all to see. Sometimes she even will rearrange things on my bulletin board. and most of the time i let it be, and then put everything back how i like it when she leaves, like a good little girl. but really, i'm thinking, "mom. for goodness sakes let it be. I like it there. stop messing with my room." but i keep my mouth shut.
who really knows why i wrote that to honor my mother. she doesn't even read this. but really, mom.
i appreciate you.
(every time i say that, i keep on thinking of that awful song my elementary school music teacher, Mr. Platt made us sing like five years in a row: WE APPRECIATE YOU WE THINK YOU ARE COOL. WE APPRECIATE YOU. YEAH, YOU REALLY RULE. YOU MAKE US FEEL HAPPY IN ALL THE THINGS YOU SAY AND DO, OH WE APPRECIATE YOU. and it goes on and on for like ten verses. and how much i hate it.)
